Description
A warm and comforting skillet dish with savory flavors that embodies the essence of autumn.
Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts, diced
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the chicken: In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the diced chicken to the pan. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for about 6-8 minutes, stirring occasionally until the chicken is browned and cooked through.
- Create the sauce: Once the chicken is cooked, add the remaining butter to the skillet, allowing it to melt. Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring well to combine. Bring the mixture to a simmer.
- Add flavor: Mix in the lemon juice and Italian seasoning, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly. This process should take about 3-4 minutes.
- Finish and serve: Once the sauce has thickened to your liking, remove the skillet from the heat. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
