Delicious and easy-to-make Teriyaki Chicken Skewers featuring chicken thighs marinated in teriyaki sauce and paired with colorful vegetables.
Ingredients
- 1 pound of boneless, skinless chicken thighs (or chicken breast, if preferred)
- 1/2 cup of homemade or store-bought teriyaki sauce
- 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon of honey
- Skewers (wooden or metal)
- Assorted vegetables (bell peppers, zucchini, and onion)
Instructions
- Start by cutting the chicken into bite-sized pieces. Marinate the chicken in a mixture of teriyaki sauce, sesame oil, and honey for at least 30 minutes.
- Once marinated, assemble your skewers by threading the chicken pieces onto them, alternating with colorful vegetables.
- Preheat your grill or grill pan on medium-high heat. Cook the skewers for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and the veggies are tender.
- Remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes. Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
Notes
Soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes before grilling and consider reserving some teriyaki sauce for brushing during grilling for added flavor.
