Description

These Teriyaki Chicken Skewers are a flavorful delight, perfect for fall gatherings with family and friends.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • Sesame seeds for garnish
  • Sliced green onions for garnish
  • Wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Marinade: In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. Marinate the Chicken: Place the chicken cubes in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over the chicken. Seal the bag or cover the dish and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
  3. Preheat the Grill: Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Skewer the Chicken: Thread the marinated chicken onto the soaked wooden skewers, ensuring they are evenly spaced.
  5. Cook the Skewers: Grill the skewers for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally until the chicken is cooked through.
  6. Serve: Remove the skewers from the grill, garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions, and serve warm.

Notes

Soak wooden skewers to prevent burning. Experiment with adding vegetables to the skewers for extra flavor.
