Description

A warm, comforting dish combining tender ground chicken and vibrant broccoli in a sweet and tangy sauce, perfect for a cozy meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • ¼ cup soy sauce (or a gluten-free alternative)
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • Cooked rice for serving

Instructions

  1. Prepare the ingredients: Wash and chop the broccoli into bite-sized florets. Mince the garlic and grate the ginger.
  2. Cook the chicken: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground chicken, season with a pinch of salt, and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
  3. Add aromatics: Once the chicken is nearly cooked through, add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet, stirring for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Incorporate broccoli: Toss in the broccoli florets and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until they turn bright green and tender yet crisp.
  5. Mix the sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, and sriracha. Pour this sauce over the chicken and broccoli mixture, stirring well to combine.
  6. Finish and serve: Let the mixture cook for another 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. Drizzle with sesame oil just before serving and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Serve over warm rice for a complete meal.

Notes

Vegetable variations recommended. Adjust the heat to taste with sriracha. Great for meal prep with flavorful leftovers.
