Description
A cozy and delicious dish featuring tender chicken breasts stuffed with a savory spinach and cheese filling, perfect for fall evenings.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Optional: herbs like thyme or basil for added flavor
Instructions
- Prepare the Chicken Breasts: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). While the oven heats, place each chicken breast between two sheets of plastic wrap and pound them to an even thickness.
- Make the Filling: In a bowl, combine the chopped spinach, cream cheese, mozzarella, Parmesan, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Stir until well mixed.
- Stuff the Chicken: Take a generous amount of the spinach mixture and place it in the center of each chicken breast. Roll up the chicken tightly, securing with toothpicks if necessary.
- Cook the Chicken: Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the stuffed chicken breasts for about 3-4 minutes on each side until browned.
- Bake: Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the juices run clear.
- Serve: Allow the chicken to rest for 5 minutes before slicing to retain moisture.
Notes
Ensure to use fresh ingredients for the best flavor and allow the chicken to rest after cooking.
