Description
Delicious Sliced Potatoes in the Air Fryer, perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the insideโa cozy fall dish thatโs easy to make.
Ingredients
- 4 medium-sized potatoes (Yukon Gold or Russet)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (or avocado oil)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the potatoes: Begin by washing and peeling the potatoes (if desired). Use a sharp knife or a mandoline slicer to cut the potatoes into thin, even slices (about 1/4 inch thick works best).
- Soak the slices: For extra crispiness, soak the potato slices in cold water for about 30 minutes.
- Seasoning time: Drain the potatoes and pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel. Place the slices in a large bowl and drizzle with olive oil. Sprinkle in the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Toss well to coat everything evenly.
- Preheat your air fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 380ยฐF (193ยฐC).
- Arrange for cooking: Place the seasoned potato slices in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Air fry the potatoes: Cook the potatoes for about 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Serving time: Once theyโre done, remove from the air fryer and allow them to cool for a few minutes. Sprinkle with fresh herbs if desired, and serve warm.
Notes
Use Yukon Golds for creaminess and Russets for fluffiness. Soaking potatoes is essential for maximum crunch. Feel free to get creative with seasonings.
