Description
A quick and comforting garlic butter chicken pasta perfect for busy weeknights, full of flavor and family-friendly.
Ingredients
- 8 ounces bowtie pasta (or pasta of your choice)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Parmesan cheese, grated (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta: Start by boiling a large pot of salted water. Add the bowtie pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, saving a cup of the pasta water.
- Prepare the Chicken: In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Sauté the Chicken: Increase the heat to medium-high and add the chicken pieces. Season them with salt and pepper. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through and lightly golden.
- Combine Everything: Once the chicken is ready, lower the heat and add the drained pasta to the skillet. Toss everything together, adding a splash of the reserved pasta water if needed to create a smoother sauce.
- Garnish and Serve: Finish with chopped parsley and, if desired, sprinkle with grated parmesan cheese. Serve warm and enjoy this comforting meal!
Notes
Ensure chicken pieces are cut evenly for uniform cooking. Reserve pasta water for sauce consistency.
