Description

A comforting chicken dish with savory flavors, rich sauces, and delightful seasonings, perfect for cozy fall gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup of sliced mushrooms
  • 1 cup of white wine
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish
  • Parmesan cheese, grated

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken: Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. In a large skillet, heat some olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until cooked through and golden brown. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  2. Sauté the vegetables: In the same skillet, add sliced mushrooms and minced garlic. Sauté until the mushrooms are tender and the garlic is fragrant, around 3-4 minutes.
  3. Deglaze the pan: Pour in the white wine to deglaze the pan, scraping any browned bits off the bottom. Let it simmer for a couple of minutes until the wine reduces slightly.
  4. Make the sauce: Lower the heat and stir in the heavy cream. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens. Add a bit of salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Combine chicken and sauce: Return the chicken to the pan, ensuring it’s coated in the creamy sauce. Let it simmer for another minute to absorb the flavors.
  6. Garnish and serve: Plate your Chicken Christopher, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley, and serve warm.

Notes

For a lighter option, substitute heavy cream with a lighter alternative, though the texture may vary.
