Description

A warm, hearty dish featuring tender beef in a savory, slightly sweet sauce served over noodles, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces egg noodles or your pasta of choice
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 green onion, chopped (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the noodles according to package instructions. Once cooked, drain and set aside.
  2. Prepare the beef by heating the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it into smaller pieces.
  3. Add in the minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking for an additional minute until fragrant.
  4. Create the sauce by mixing soy sauce, brown sugar, hoisin sauce, and sesame oil in a bowl, then pour over the cooked beef and let it simmer for about 3-5 minutes.
  5. Combine the cooked noodles with the beef mixture, tossing everything together until well coated in the sauce.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if desired. Enjoy!

Notes

For variations, consider using gluten-free noodles or adding steamed vegetables. Adjust sweetness by changing brown sugar amounts.
