Description

A quick and easy recipe for juicy chicken coated in a rich sesame sauce, made crispy in the air fryer.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless chicken thighs (or breast)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prep the chicken: Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces for even cooking.
  2. Marinate: In a bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, cornstarch, salt, and pepper. Add chicken and mix well. Let it marinate for about 10 minutes.
  3. Preheat the air fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  4. Cook the chicken: Place the marinated chicken in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 10-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  5. Prepare the sauce: While the chicken cooks, toast sesame seeds in a small pan over medium heat for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Serve: Toss the cooked chicken with toasted sesame seeds and garnish with green onions. Enjoy it over rice or your favorite grain.

Notes

For a gluten-free version, use tamari or gluten-free soy sauce. Add crushed red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
