A comforting and easy casserole combining chicken, creamy sauces, and a crunchy topping, perfect for fall dinners.
Ingredients
- 3 cups cooked and shredded chicken (halal)
- 2 cups cooked rice (white or brown)
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup celery, chopped
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup crushed potato chips (for topping)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cooked rice, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, celery, onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix everything well until fully incorporated.
- Pour the chicken mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, spreading it evenly.
- Sprinkle the crushed potato chips over the top of the casserole.
- Bake for about 30 to 35 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown on top.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Feel free to customize with different vegetables or cheeses. Great with a side salad.
