Description
A warm, inviting chicken dish that combines fresh lemons, rich butter, and aromatic garlic for a cozy fall favorite.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 medium lemon (zested and juiced)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the chicken: Pat chicken breasts dry and season with salt, pepper, and half of the lemon juice.
- Sauté the chicken: In a skillet over medium heat, melt 1/4 cup of butter and cook the chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Make the Lemon Garlic Butter Sauce: Reduce heat, add remaining butter, and once melted, stir in garlic for 30 seconds.
- Add flavor: Stir in lemon zest, remaining lemon juice, thyme, and rosemary. Allow flavors to meld for 2 minutes.
- Combine: Return chicken to the skillet, spoon sauce over, and let simmer for another minute.
- Garnish and serve: Remove from heat, garnish with parsley, and serve warm.
Notes
Consider marinating the chicken for deeper flavor. Use unsalted butter for better control of salt levels.
