Description
Korean BBQ Chicken Bowls feature tender chicken, flavorful sauces, and delightful vegetables, perfect for a cozy fall meal.
Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup cooked rice (white or brown)
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 cup sliced bell peppers
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1/2 cup Korean BBQ sauce
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- Sesame seeds and green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the chicken: In a mixing bowl, combine the chicken pieces with sesame oil, soy sauce, and honey. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Cook the chicken: Heat a skillet over medium heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 7-10 minutes. Add the remaining marinade during the last few minutes of cooking.
- Sauté the vegetables: In the same skillet, add the broccoli and sliced bell peppers. Sauté for about 5 minutes until tender but still crisp.
- Assemble your bowls: In each bowl, place cooked rice, add sautéed vegetables, and top with the cooked chicken. Drizzle with additional Korean BBQ sauce and garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
- Serve and enjoy: Best enjoyed warm, these bowls can also include variations like kimchi or seasonal vegetables.
Notes
Marinate the chicken longer for more flavor. Try adding gochujang for extra heat or use an air fryer for a healthier option.
