Description

A vibrant and fun Kool-Aid pineapple spears recipe that transforms ripe pineapple into a sweet, tangy, colorful treat infused with your favorite powdered drink mix.

Ingredients

  • 1 whole ripe pineapple
  • 1 packet powdered drink mix, any desired flavor
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar, adjusted to taste
  • 1/4 cup water, optional for a milder flavor

Instructions

  1. Carefully peel and core the fresh pineapple.
  2. Slice the pineapple into uniform spears or pieces.
  3. Add the powdered drink mix and granulated sugar to a large airtight container.
  4. Add 1/4 cup water if you prefer a milder flavor.
  5. Place the pineapple pieces into the container and make sure they are coated with the mixture.
  6. Secure the lid tightly and gently shake the container to distribute the mixture evenly.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight for a deeper flavor.
  8. Remove the infused pineapple from the container and serve chilled.

Notes

Choose a ripe pineapple with golden-yellow skin, a fragrant base, and fresh green leaves. For maximum flavor, refrigerate the pineapple in the mixture for 8-12 hours. Experiment with flavors such as fruit punch, blue raspberry, tropical punch, cherry, watermelon, grape, lemonade, or orange. Add a pinch of chili powder or ginger for a unique twist. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
