Description
Crispy and tender chicken tenders coated in a sweet honey butter garlic glaze, perfect for fall.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds chicken tenders
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 1/2 cups panko breadcrumbs
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1/3 cup honey
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- Prep the breading station: Set out three shallow bowls โ flour mixed with salt, pepper, and paprika; beaten eggs; and panko breadcrumbs. Coat each chicken tender first in flour, then egg, then panko.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400ยฐF (200ยฐC) for 3โ5 minutes. Lightly spray the basket with oil to prevent sticking.
- Arrange the tenders in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving a bit of space between pieces so air can circulate. Cook at 400ยฐF for 8โ10 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and an instant-read thermometer reads 165ยฐF (74ยฐC).
- While the tenders cook, make the honey-butter garlic glaze: melt butter in a small saucepan over low heat, stir in minced garlic and cook 30โ60 seconds until fragrant, then whisk in honey and lemon juice. Keep warm.
- Toss the cooked tenders gently in the glaze or brush the glaze over each piece for a glossy finish. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
For extra crunch, spray the breaded tenders lightly with oil before air frying. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
