Ingredients
- 1 pound chicken breast, diced
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce or tamari (for gluten-free)
- 2 tablespoons honey or agave syrup
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
- 3 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
- Optional vegetables: bell peppers, broccoli, or snap peas
Instructions
- Marinate the Chicken: In a medium bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger. Add the diced chicken, ensuring each piece is well-coated. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Cook the Chicken: Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken and cook for about 7-10 minutes, or until golden brown and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Add Vegetables: If using vegetables, add them to the skillet after the chicken has browned. Stir-fry for another 5-7 minutes until they are tender yet crisp.
- Garnish and Serve: Once fully cooked, sprinkle sesame seeds on top and garnish with green onions before serving.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat over medium heat. Can be frozen for up to three months.
