A warm and hearty meal featuring grilled chicken, tender broccoli, and a rich creamy garlic sauce.
Ingredients
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
- Season the chicken breasts with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Grill the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Once cooked, let them rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing.
- While the chicken is resting, steam the broccoli florets until tender (approximately 4-5 minutes).
- In a saucepan over medium heat, add a splash of olive oil and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant (around 1-2 minutes).
- Pour in the heavy cream and stir in the Dijon mustard and Italian seasoning. Allow it to simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- If using, whisk in the Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- To serve, start with a base of grilled chicken slices, add a generous scoop of broccoli, and drizzle with the creamy garlic sauce.
Notes
For added flavor, marinate chicken before grilling. Use a meat thermometer to check doneness.
