Ingredients
- 1 pound medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 pound halal sausage (chicken or turkey)
- 1 red bell pepper, cut into chunks
- 1 green bell pepper, cut into chunks
- 1 medium onion, cut into chunks
- 1 zucchini, sliced into thick rounds
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Skewers (wooden or metal)
Instructions
- Prep the ingredients: Start by washing and chopping all your vegetablesโred and green bell peppers, onion, and zucchini should all be in easy-to-handle chunks.
- Soak skewers: If youโre using wooden skewers, soak them in water for about 30 minutes to prevent burning.
- Marinate the shrimp and sausage: Combine the shrimp, sausage, olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Toss until coated and let marinate for about 15 minutes.
- Assemble the kabobs: Thread the shrimp, sausage, bell peppers, onion, and zucchini onto the skewers, alternating the ingredients.
- Cook the kabobs: Grill on medium-high heat for 5-7 minutes on each side or bake in a preheated oven at 400ยฐF (200ยฐC) for 15-20 minutes, turning halfway through.
- Serve: Remove from heat, let cool for a couple of minutes, and serve warm with rice or a fresh salad.
