Ingredients
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, freshly grated
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
- 2 green onions, chopped
- Cooked rice, for serving
Instructions
- Marinate the chicken: In a bowl, combine the chicken pieces with sesame oil, soy sauce, honey, garlic, and ginger. Let this marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Cook the chicken: Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add the marinated chicken. Cook until golden brown, approximately 6-8 minutes.
- Add sesame seeds: Once cooked, sprinkle the sesame seeds over the chicken and stir to coat.
- Garnish and serve: Remove from heat, garnish with chopped green onions, and serve the sesame chicken over rice.
Notes
Use fresh garlic and ginger for best flavor. Adjust sweetness or add chili flakes according to your taste.
