Description
A cozy dish featuring rich flavors of Cajun seasoning and creamy goodness, perfect for chilly evenings.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 3 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts generously with Cajun seasoning on both sides.
- Sear the chicken in a large skillet with olive oil over medium heat for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- Sauté the chopped onion in the same skillet for 2-3 minutes until soft, then stir in the minced garlic for another minute.
- Make the cream sauce by adding chicken broth, scraping up brown bits, and letting it simmer for 2 minutes. Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan until thickened.
- Combine the chicken back into the skillet, coat it in the sauce, and heat for an additional 2 minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
For a milder flavor, reduce Cajun seasoning. Ensure chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
