Ingredients

  • 12 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish


Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Prepare the chicken by seasoning with salt and pepper. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and let it rest.
  3. Create the Alfredo sauce in the same skillet by lowering the heat, adding minced garlic and sautéing for about 1 minute. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in Parmesan until smooth.
  4. Combine the cooked fettuccine with the sauce, tossing to coat evenly. Slice the chicken and place it on top of the pasta.
  5. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

For best flavor, use high-quality Parmesan. Save pasta water to adjust sauce consistency if needed.
