Description
Enjoy these crispy and flavorful chicken tenders made in the air fryer, perfect for family gatherings or cozy nights in.
Ingredients
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts (cut into strips)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably whole wheat or panko for extra crunch)
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Olive oil spray (to help with crispiness)
Instructions
- Prepare the chicken by cutting it into tenders, aiming for strips that are about 1-inch wide.
- Set up your breading station with flour in one bowl, whisked eggs in a second bowl, and a mixture of breadcrumbs, garlic powder, paprika, black pepper, and salt in a third bowl.
- Coat each chicken strip first in flour, then in egg, and finally in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing lightly.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Air fry the chicken tenders by spraying the basket with olive oil spray, placing the tenders in a single layer, and cooking for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Serve the chicken tenders with your favorite dipping sauce and enjoy!
Notes
For extra crunch, use panko breadcrumbs. Marinate chicken in buttermilk for added flavor if time allows.
