Description
A delightful and cozy dish that combines spicy buffalo chicken with creamy pasta, perfect for chilly evenings.
Ingredients
- 8 oz. penne pasta
- 1 lb. chicken breast, diced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 cup buffalo sauce
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Chopped green onions, for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the penne pasta and cook according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Sauté the chicken: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced chicken, garlic powder, onion powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Cook until the chicken is golden and fully cooked, about 7-10 minutes.
- Make the sauce: Reduce the heat to low and stir in the buffalo sauce and heavy cream. Allow the mixture to simmer for about 3-4 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
- Combine pasta and sauce: Add the drained pasta to the skillet and toss well to coat with the sauce. Gradually stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.
- Serve: Garnish with chopped green onions and serve immediately.
