Description
A delicious blend of honey and Dijon mustard in a rich creamy sauce, perfect for a cozy dinner.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the chicken: Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Sear the chicken: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side until they are golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- Make the sauce: In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the honey, Dijon mustard, and heavy cream. Stir to combine until the sauce is smooth and bubbly.
- Combine: Return the chicken to the skillet, spooning the sauce over it. Let it simmer for an additional 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley before serving for a pop of color!
Notes
For a sweeter sauce, add more honey; for tanginess, increase Dijon mustard. This dish can also be baked for a different texture.
