Description
A cozy fall dish that combines tender chicken breasts with a rich, creamy garlic Parmesan sauce.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the chicken: Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Sear the chicken: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat the olive oil. Add the chicken breasts and sear them until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes per side. Once cooked through, remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside.
- Make the sauce: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Then, pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine, and bring it to a gentle simmer.
- Add cheese and seasoning: Stir in the Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning, ensuring the cheese melts and the sauce thickens. Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning if necessary.
- Combine: Return the chicken breasts to the skillet, coating them with the creamy sauce. Allow everything to simmer together for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Serve: Plate your creamy garlic Parmesan chicken and garnish with fresh parsley.
Notes
Don’t overcook the chicken. Use a meat thermometer to ensure it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
