Description
A creamy and rich chicken thigh dish that brings restaurant-style flavors to your home in just 30 minutes.
Ingredients
- 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Season the chicken: Begin by patting the chicken thighs dry with paper towels. Season generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Sear the chicken: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken thighs skin-side down and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown. Flip and cook for another 5 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- Prepare the cream sauce: In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream, stirring to combine, and scrape up any brown bits. Add oregano, paprika, and adjust salt to taste.
- Combine and cook: Return chicken to the skillet, skin-side up. Simmer in sauce for about 10-15 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). The sauce will thicken.
- Garnish and serve: Remove from heat and sprinkle with parsley and parmesan cheese, if desired. Serve over rice, pasta, or alongside vegetables.
Notes
Allow chicken to sear without moving it for a crisp skin. Use quality cream for best results. Store leftovers in airtight container for up to 3 days.
