Description
A cozy dish blending rich flavors of steak bites and creamy Cajun Alfredo sauce over twisted pasta, perfect for chilly fall nights.
Ingredients
- 1 lb steak bites (sirloin or tenderloin)
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
- 8 oz twisted pasta (like cavatappi or fusilli)
- 4 tablespoons butter
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta: Begin by boiling a large pot of salted water. Add the twisted pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Prepare the Steak Bites: While the pasta cooks, season the steak with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat. Add steak bites in a single layer and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove the steak from the skillet and keep warm.
- Make the Alfredo Sauce: In the same skillet, melt the remaining butter and add the heavy cream. Bring to a simmer, stirring frequently. Gradually whisk in the Parmesan cheese and Cajun seasoning until the sauce is creamy and smooth.
- Combine: Add the cooked pasta and steak bites back to the skillet. Toss everything together until evenly coated with the sauce.
- Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley before serving. This dish pairs wonderfully with a side salad or some crusty bread.
Notes
Quality meat enhances the flavor. Avoid overcooking steak bites. For extra creaminess, add more heavy cream or cream cheese.
