Description
An indulgent pasta dish featuring steak, tortellini, and a rich creamy sauce, perfect for cozy autumn nights.
Ingredients
- 1 pound of steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 package of tortellini (fresh or frozen)
- 4-5 cloves of cracked garlic
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
- Optional: Parmesan cheese for serving
Instructions
- Prepare the steak: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the steak pieces with salt and pepper. Add the steak to the pan, searing it until browned on all sides.
- Add garlic: Once the steak is browned, add the cracked garlic cloves to the skillet. Sauté together for a few minutes until fragrant.
- Combine the cream and broth: Pour in the heavy cream and beef broth, stirring to combine. Let simmer for about 5-7 minutes.
- Cook tortellini: In a separate pot, cook the tortellini according to package instructions. Once done, drain and set aside.
- Combine and serve: Add the cooked tortellini into the skillet with the sauce, tossing to coat. Let simmer for a few more minutes. Serve hot, garnished with parsley and Parmesan cheese if desired.
Notes
For a milder garlic flavor, consider roasting the garlic before adding it. You can substitute the steak with chicken or plant-based proteins for a vegetarian option.
