Description

A warm, buttery Cinnamon Apple Puff Pastry, perfect for cozy fall gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry (thawed if frozen)
  • 2 medium apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon milk (optional, for egg wash)
  • Optional: powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare the apples by peeling, coring, and slicing into thin wedges.
  3. Mix the sliced apples, sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice in a bowl. Let sit for 15 minutes.
  4. Roll out the puff pastry to about 1/8-inch thickness on a floured surface.
  5. Cut the pastry into 4×4 inch squares or fun shapes with cookie cutters.
  6. Assemble by placing a tablespoon of the apple mixture in each pastry piece, folding, and sealing edges with a fork.
  7. Egg wash by whisking egg and milk, brushing over the pastries.
  8. Bake on a parchment-lined baking sheet for 18-20 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Cool for a few minutes, dust with powdered sugar if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

Thaw puff pastry properly and don’t overfill. You can add spices or nuts for extra flavor.
