A warm and comforting Chicken Parm Casserole that encapsulates the flavors of classic chicken parmesan with delicious layers.
Ingredients
- 4 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 2 cups cooked pasta (penne or rotini)
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- ½ cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix the shredded chicken, marinara sauce, cooked pasta, mozzarella cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, and salt and pepper in a large mixing bowl.
- Transfer the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish and level the top with a spatula.
- Sprinkle the grated parmesan cheese over the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh basil, and serve hot.
Notes
Consider using leftover chicken or pasta for faster preparation. Keep an eye on the casserole to avoid overcooking the pasta.
