Description

These Chicken Caesar Smash Tacos combine crispy smashed chicken tortillas with fresh romaine, creamy Caesar dressing, and Parmesan cheese for a quick, flavorful dinner that’s ready in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground chicken
  • 8-10 small flour tortillas
  • 1 head romaine lettuce, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup creamy Caesar dressing
  • 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the ground chicken, onion powder, and black pepper until evenly mixed.
  2. Divide the mixture into 8-10 equal portions.
  3. Spread each portion thinly over one side of a flour tortilla, pressing to the edges.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Place each tortilla chicken-side down and cook for 3-4 minutes until the chicken is browned and fully cooked.
  6. Flip and cook the tortilla side for 1-2 minutes until lightly toasted and crispy.
  7. In a separate bowl, toss the chopped romaine lettuce with the Caesar dressing.
  8. Top each cooked taco with the dressed romaine.
  9. Sprinkle generously with freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
  10. Serve immediately while warm and crispy.

Notes

For the crispiest smash tacos, press the chicken into a thin, even layer and cook in a hot skillet without overcrowding. Assemble just before serving to keep the tortillas crisp.
