Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley or basil for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the Chicken: Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- Brown the Chicken: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side.
- Remove the chicken and set aside on a plate.
- Sauté Garlic: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute.
- Make the Creamy Sauce: Pour in the chicken broth and bring it to a gentle simmer, then stir in the heavy cream, Dijon mustard, and Italian seasoning. Cook for 3-4 minutes.
- Combine: Return the chicken breasts to the skillet and coat them in the sauce. Let simmer for another 5 minutes.
- Garnish and Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley or basil before serving.
