Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 large potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: Paprika or Italian seasoning for flavor
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and chopped onion over medium heat until the meat is browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Combine the cream of mushroom soup, milk, and seasonings in a bowl.
- Layer half of the potatoes in a greased baking dish, followed by half the meat mixture, then some of the soup mixture, and top with half of the cheese.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients, finishing with cheese on top.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 1 hour. Remove foil and bake for another 15-20 minutes until the cheese is golden and the potatoes are tender.
