Description

A warm and cheesy garlic bread recipe perfect for cozy gatherings and sweater weather.

Ingredients

  • 1 large crusty loaf (ciabatta or French loaf), about 14โ€“16 ounces
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded halal-certified mozzarella
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan (halal-certified)
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
  • Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC). Line a baking sheet with foil for easy cleanup.
  2. Slice the loaf horizontally, creating a top and bottom half. For pull-apart slices, make vertical cuts about 1โ€“2 inches apart without slicing all the way through.
  3. Make garlic butter by mixing softened butter, minced garlic, salt, parsley, and smoked paprika until smooth.
  4. Apply half the garlic butter on the bottom halve and the rest on the top halve, getting into the cuts if you made pull-apart slices.
  5. Add cheese by evenly sprinkling mozzarella and parmesan over the buttered surfaces, tucking a bit of cheese into the cuts if desired.
  6. Bake for 12โ€“15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the edges of the bread are golden.
  7. Broil for 1โ€“2 minutes if you prefer a golden, slightly crisp topโ€”watch closely so it doesnโ€™t burn.
  8. Serve warm after letting cool for 2 minutes. Pairs nicely with soups, salads, or roasted veggies.

Notes

Use room-temperature butter for easier spreading. Mince garlic finely or grate it to avoid large raw pieces. Shred your own mozzarella for best melting results.
