Description
A comforting Cheesy Chicken Bake filled with creamy goodness, tender chicken, and topped with golden melted cheese.
Ingredients
- 2 cups shredded or cubed cooked chicken
- 2 cups cooked pasta (penne or shells)
- 1 cup cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1/2 tablespoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook your pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Combine the cooked chicken, cooked pasta, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl. Stir until everything is well mixed.
- Fold in 1 1/2 cups of the shredded cheddar cheese, reserving the remaining 1/2 cup for topping.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, spreading it evenly.
- Sprinkle the reserved cheddar cheese on top. If you’re using bread crumbs, add them now.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is bubbly and golden brown.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
Notes
Experiment with different cheeses or add veggies for extra nutrition. Can be made ahead and refrigerated before baking.
