Description
A delightful combination of gooey cheese, savory beef, and your favorite toppings, perfect for cozy fall nights.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef (use halal-certified)
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1 bag tortilla chips (around 12 ounces)
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup diced tomatoes (fresh or canned)
- 1 cup sliced black olives
- 1 jalapeño, sliced (optional)
- 1/2 cup sour cream (optional)
- 1/2 cup guacamole (optional)
- Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)
- Lime wedges for serving
Instructions
- Cook the beef: In a medium skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until it’s fully cooked. Drain any excess fat. Stir in the taco seasoning according to package instructions, adding a little water if necessary. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Prepare the air fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Assemble the nachos: On a large plate or in a baking dish that fits your air fryer, start layering your ingredients. Begin with a layer of tortilla chips, followed by a generous amount of seasoned beef, and then sprinkle cheese over the top. Repeat the layering until all ingredients are used, ensuring the final layer is cheese.
- Air fry the nachos: Carefully place the plate or dish into the air fryer basket. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, watching closely until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Add toppings: Once done, carefully remove the nachos from the air fryer and top them with diced tomatoes, black olives, jalapeños, and any other toppings you love.
- Serve and enjoy: Serve immediately with a dollop of sour cream, guacamole, and a sprinkle of fresh cilantro. Squeeze fresh lime over the top for added zest.
Notes
Avoid overloading the nachos for optimal crispiness. Experiment with different cheeses for enhanced flavor.
