Description

A cozy fall favorite, these Bang Bang Chicken Skewers are quick, flavorful, and perfect for gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Bamboo skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken: In a bowl, mix together the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken pieces and toss until they are well coated. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes for optimal flavor.
  2. Prepare the sauce: While the chicken is marinating, combine the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and lime juice in a separate bowl. Adjust the heat level of the sauce by adding more or less sriracha based on your preference.
  3. Skewer the chicken: Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto the soaked bamboo skewers. Leave a little space between each piece for even cooking.
  4. Cook the skewers: You can grill, bake, or air-fry the skewers. For grilling, preheat your grill to medium-high heat and cook the skewers for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through.
  5. Serve: Once the chicken is beautifully charred and cooked, serve your Bang Bang Chicken Skewers with the sauce on the side for dipping.

Notes

Allow the chicken to marinate for enhanced flavor and tenderness. Soak the skewers to prevent them from catching fire.
