Ingredients

  • 1 cup high-protein flour (or almond flour for a gluten-free option)
  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt (preferably plain, non-fat or full-fat)
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • Sesame seeds, everything bagel seasoning, or your favorite toppings (optional)


Instructions

  1. Prepare the dough: In a mixing bowl, combine the high-protein flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix well to combine the dry ingredients.
  2. Add wet ingredients: Next, add the Greek yogurt and egg to the dry mixture. You can also include honey or maple syrup at this stage if you like a hint of sweetness. Use a spatula or your hands to mix the ingredients until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough: On a lightly floured surface, knead the dough gently for about 1-2 minutes until itโ€™s smooth and pliable.
  4. Shape the bagels: Divide the dough into equal portions (about four portions) and roll each piece into a ball. Use your finger to poke a hole in the center of each ball to shape the bagels. Gently stretch the hole until itโ€™s big enough.
  5. Preheat the air fryer: While shaping your bagels, preheat your air fryer to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) for about 5 minutes.
