A healthier spin on traditional fried potato chips, Air Fryer Potato Hay is golden, crispy, and a perfect fall snack.
Ingredients
- 4 medium-sized russet potatoes
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (or vegetable oil)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the potatoes by washing and peeling them. Slice into thin, hay-like strands about 1/8 inch thick.
- Soak the potato strands in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
- Dry the soaked strands thoroughly with a kitchen towel or paper towels.
- Season the potatoes by tossing them with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Preheat your air fryer to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC) for about 5 minutes.
- Air fry the potato strands in a single layer for 15-20 minutes, shaking halfway through for even cooking.
- Serve in a dish and garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Enjoy warm!

For best results, soak and dry the potatoes thoroughly for crispiness. Adjust seasonings to your taste preferences.
