Description

A healthier spin on traditional fried potato chips, Air Fryer Potato Hay is golden, crispy, and a perfect fall snack.


Ingredients

  • 4 medium-sized russet potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (or vegetable oil)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. Prepare the potatoes by washing and peeling them. Slice into thin, hay-like strands about 1/8 inch thick.
  2. Soak the potato strands in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
  3. Dry the soaked strands thoroughly with a kitchen towel or paper towels.
  4. Season the potatoes by tossing them with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC) for about 5 minutes.
  6. Air fry the potato strands in a single layer for 15-20 minutes, shaking halfway through for even cooking.
  7. Serve in a dish and garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Enjoy warm!
