Ingredients
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (gluten-free if needed)
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon olive oil or melted butter
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the chicken: Start by gently pounding the chicken breasts to an even thickness.
- Set up your breading station: In one bowl, whisk together the eggs. In another bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, black pepper, and salt.
- Coat the chicken: Dip each chicken breast first into the eggs, allowing any excess to drip off, then coat thoroughly with the breadcrumb mixture.
- Preheat the air fryer: Set your air fryer to preheat at 380°F (193°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Air fry the chicken: Lightly brush both sides of the coated chicken with olive oil or melted butter. Place the chicken breasts in the air fryer basket, and cook for 15-18 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Serve and enjoy: Once cooked, remove the chicken and let it rest for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
