Ingredients

  • 8–10 oz sturdy tortilla chips (thick-cut)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
  • 8 oz halal seasoned ground beef or ground chicken, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 cup canned black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1/2 cup roasted corn (fresh or frozen, thawed)
  • 1 small apple, thinly sliced (optional)
  • 1/4 cup pickled jalapeños, sliced
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1/4 cup crumbled queso fresco or feta
  • 1/3 cup sour cream or plain yogurt
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • Pinch of salt and pepper
  • Cooking spray or a light brush of oil


Instructions

  1. Prep your toppings: Cook and season the ground meat with smoked paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper. Keep warm.
  2. Mix sour cream with lime juice and a pinch of salt to make a quick crema.
  3. Layer the nachos: In a large, shallow air fryer basket or oven-safe dish, lay a single layer of tortilla chips. Scatter half the shredded cheese, then spoon on half the meat, beans, corn, and apple slices.
  4. Air fry in batches: Lightly spray with cooking spray, air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 3–5 minutes until cheese is melted. Add remaining chips and toppings, air fry another 3–4 minutes.
  5. Transfer to a serving platter. Sprinkle with queso fresco, cilantro, jalapeños, and drizzle with lime crema. Serve immediately.
