Description
These Air Fryer Honey Garlic Salmon Bites are a quick, flavorful dish perfect for autumn evenings, highlighted by a warm honey-garlic glaze.
Ingredients
- 1 lb salmon fillet, skin removed and cut into 1-inch cubes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional, for warmth)
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon water (for a glossy glaze)
- Sesame seeds and chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Pat the salmon cubes dry with paper towels and season lightly with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
- In a small bowl, whisk together honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, and lemon juice. Set aside.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3 minutes.
- Toss the salmon cubes with olive oil so they don’t stick, then place them in a single layer in the basket. Cook for 6–8 minutes, shaking halfway through.
- While the salmon cooks, warm the sauce in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook until slightly thickened.
- Toss the cooked salmon bites gently with the thickened honey garlic glaze so each piece is coated.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and parsley. Serve with rice, roasted potatoes, or a crisp autumn salad.
Notes
For variation, try adding ginger or using tamari for a gluten-free version. Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket for even cooking.
