Description
Delicious and easy Air Fryer Honey BBQ Chicken Bites, perfect for fall gatherings and weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
- 1.5 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/3 cup BBQ sauce
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- Optional: chopped parsley or toasted sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- Pat the chicken pieces dry with paper towels. In a large bowl, toss chicken with olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3 minutes. Lightly spray the basket with oil to prevent sticking.
- Place the chicken in a single layer in the basket — don’t overcrowd; cook in two batches if needed. Air fry at 400°F for 8–10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
- While the chicken cooks, whisk together honey, BBQ sauce, and apple cider vinegar in a small saucepan. Warm gently over low heat for 2–3 minutes until glossy and combined.
- Transfer cooked chicken to a bowl, pour the glaze over, and toss until evenly coated. Return to the air fryer for 1–2 minutes at 380°F to set the glaze if you like a stickier finish.
Notes
Ensure not to overcrowd the air fryer basket for the best texture. Use an instant-read thermometer to confirm the chicken is cooked properly.
