Description
A cozy fall dish featuring thick slices of ham steak marinated and air-fried to perfection.
Ingredients
- 2 thick slices of boneless ham steak (approximately 1-inch thick)
- 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon of honey
- 1 teaspoon of Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil (or melted coconut oil)
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Optional: Pineapple rings or sliced apples for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the Marinade: In a small mixing bowl, combine the brown sugar, honey, Dijon mustard, ground cinnamon, and olive oil. Mix until well blended.
- Marinate the Ham: Place the ham steaks in a shallow dish or resealable plastic bag. Pour the marinade over the ham, ensuring both sides are coated. Allow marinating for at least 30 minutes (or overnight).
- Preheat the Air Fryer: Set your air fryer to 380°F (193°C).
- Air Fry the Ham Steak: Place the marinated ham steaks in the air fryer basket. Air fry for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Check for Doneness: Ensure the ham steak is heated through and slightly caramelized, reaching an internal temperature of 140°F (60°C).
- Serve and Enjoy: Remove from the air fryer, let rest, and serve with optional garnishes like pineapple rings or apple slices.
Notes
Allow the ham to marinate longer for deeper flavor. Adjust spices according to taste.
