Easy to make and irresistibly flavorful, these Air Fryer Ham and Cheese Roll-Ups are the perfect snack for fall gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 large flour tortilla or pita bread
- 2 oz. of sliced halal ham
- 4 oz. of shredded cheese (cheddar or a cheese blend)
- 2 tablespoons of softened cream cheese (optional)
- 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard (optional)
- Cooking spray or a small amount of olive oil
- Fresh herbs (like parsley or chives) for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the tortilla: Lay the tortilla flat on a clean surface. If youโre using pita, cut it in half to create two pockets.
- Spread the filling: If youโre using cream cheese and mustard, spread a thin layer over the tortilla. Layer the halal ham slices evenly across the tortilla. Sprinkle a generous amount of shredded cheese on top.
- Roll it up: Tightly roll the tortilla from one edge to the other, ensuring the filling stays inside. If using pita pockets, stuff the cheese and ham inside each pocket.
- Prepare for the air fryer: Lightly spray the roll-ups with cooking spray or brush them with olive oil for that golden finish. Place the roll-ups seam-side down in the air fryer basket, ensuring they arenโt overcrowded for even cooking.
- Air fry: Preheat your air fryer to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC). Air fry the roll-ups for 6-8 minutes, flipping halfway through, until theyโre golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Garnish and serve: Remove from the air fryer and allow to cool for a minute. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired, and serve with your favorite dipping sauce, like marinara or ranch dressing.
