Ingredients
- 4 slices of bread (your choice of whole wheat, sourdough, or gluten-free)
- 4 slices of cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or pepper jack)
- 2 tablespoons of butter or dairy-free alternative
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder (optional)
- 1 teaspoon of black pepper (optional)
Instructions
- Prep the bread: Spread butter evenly on one side of each slice of bread.
- Add the cheese: On the unbuttered side of two slices, place your cheese slices.
- Assemble the sandwich: Top cheesy slices with the other two slices of bread, buttered side facing out.
- Season: Sprinkle garlic powder and black pepper on the outside of the sandwich.
- Air fry: Preheat air fryer to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Cook for about 5 minutes, flip and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve and enjoy: Allow to cool, slice in half, and serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
For best results, choose sturdy bread and don’t overstuff your sandwich.
