Description
A delightful, health-conscious twist on traditional French fries, perfect for cozy fall snacking.
Ingredients
- 1 pound of fresh green beans, washed and trimmed
- 1 cup of breadcrumbs (preferably panko)
- ½ cup of grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of onion powder
- ½ teaspoon of smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooking spray or olive oil (for air frying)
Instructions
- Prep the green beans: Rinse the green beans thoroughly and snap off the ends. Lay them on a clean kitchen towel to ensure they are completely dry.
- Prepare the coating: In one bowl, whisk the eggs until well beaten. In another bowl, mix the breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese (if using), garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Coat the green beans: Dip each green bean into the egg mixture, allowing excess to drip off. Roll it in the breadcrumb mixture until fully coated. Repeat until all green beans are coated.
- Preheat the air fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Air fry the green beans: Lightly spray the air fryer basket and arrange the coated green beans in a single layer. Air fry for 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
- Check for crispiness: Aim for a golden-brown color for that perfect crunch!
- Serve and enjoy: Remove from the air fryer and serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
