Ingredients

  • Dill pickle slices (or spears)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornmeal
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tbsp water
  • Cooking spray or oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare your pickles by draining and patting them dry with a paper towel.
  2. Make the battering mixture by combining all-purpose flour, cornmeal, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  3. Whisk together the eggs and water in a separate bowl.
  4. Coat each pickle slice by dipping it first in the flour mixture, then the egg mixture, and back into the flour mixture.
  5. Air fry the coated pickles in a preheated air fryer at 400°F (200°C) for about 10 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ranch or spicy mayo.

Notes

Make ahead by preparing the pickles up to the coating stage. Refrigerate until ready to air fry.
