Description

Deliciously crispy chicken thighs made in an air fryer, perfect for autumn family dinners.


Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (or regular paprika)
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: Fresh herbs (like parsley) for garnish


Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  3. Rub this mixture thoroughly over the chicken thighs.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
  5. Place the seasoned chicken thighs skin-side down in the air fryer basket.
  6. Cook for 25 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  7. For extra crispiness, increase the temperature to 400°F (200°C) during the last 5 minutes.
  8. Check that the internal temperature reaches at least 165°F (75°C) before serving.
  9. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
