Ingredients
- 1 can (15 oz) of chickpeas (garbanzo beans)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon barbecue sauce (ensure it’s halal)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Optional: a sprinkle of cayenne pepper for extra heat
Instructions
- Preheat your Air Fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Prepare the chickpeas by opening the can, rinsing well under cold water, and draining. Pat dry with a kitchen towel.
- Combine the chickpeas with olive oil, barbecue sauce, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne in a bowl and toss until evenly coated.
- Spread the seasoned chickpeas in a single layer in the air fryer basket and cook for 15-20 minutes, shaking halfway through.
